Having a WILD Time!

If your goal is to see a gator while in Florida, then Wild Florida is the place for you!

Wild Florida is located in Kenansville, Florida. Which is about an hour away from Walt Disney World. But this adventure park is well worth the drive! Wild Florida has airboat tours, a Gator Park, exotic animal encounters, and a Drive-Thru Safari Park! I highly recommend dedicating an entire day here. There is so much to see and do!

Airboat Tours-

Before visiting Wild Florida, I had never been on an airboat. But I knew airboats were infamous in Florida, so of course we had to go! You can choose either a half-hour tour or a one-hour tour. And if you are a Florida resident, there is a discount on the one-hour tour! We did the one-hour tour and loved it! Zipping around the Everglades spotting gators could not have been more fun. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled because you never know where one could be hiding. We also saw cows, multiple bald eagles, and other various birds. The Everglades are so peaceful and beautiful to see and experience up close. The airboat tours are not included with admission and do require a reservation. But, the tours DO include admission to their Gator Park.

Gator Park-

While you are bound to see several alligators on the airboat tour, gator park is the mecca for gators! We saw countless of them! From baby gators to giant alligators. And don’t miss the shows! Wild Florida’s Gator Park offers three shows, Crusher, Exotic Animals, and the Gator Feeding show. These shows teach you a lot about the animals Wild Florida has and allow guests to see them up close and personal. See just how high alligators can jump during the feeding show and see just how adorable a baby skunk is in the Exotic Animal show. Although the animal exhibit area is called Gator Park, Wild Florida actually has over 200 animals to see! It is a great combination between the wild and a zoo. Besides the gators, my favorite animal that we saw was the two-toed sloth! Wild Florida actually offers encounters with some of their exotic animals and an encounter with a sloth is one of them! Tickets for encounters are sold separately and reservations need to be made in advance. I definitely want to do the sloth encounter on our next visit!

Drive-Thru Safari-

Do you love going on the safari at Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Well now imagine that, but in your own vehicle! How cool is that! Wild Florida has their own 85-acre Safari Park filled with over 100 exotic and native animals. It was so neat to be able to look out my car window and see zebra, giraffe, bison, emu, and many more! Be sure to stop for animals crossing! Sometimes the animals would even stop right in front of our car. They may even come right up to your car window. This was such a unique and special experience. I will never forget my niece waving and saying hi to all of the animals from the back seat. And my nephew yelling, “WOW do you see that over there?! Look at that! I see Zebra over there!”

Wild Florida is truly one of a kind! You can’t get an experience like this anywhere else. If you love your local zoo, love Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and want to see hundreds of alligators, then you MUST go to Wild Florida!

Thank you SO much to Wild Florida for having us! We could not have had a more enjoyable experience! We hope to be back very soon!
